Stradom House

Stradom House

In the heart of Kraków stands the architecturally significant Stradom House, a former 14th-century monastery reimagined as a 125-room hotel with three restaurants and a spa. ADC & Tuneu’s design preserves the building’s historic integrity while introducing a contemporary
sensibility that speaks to the modern traveller.

Rooted in the city’s cultural context, the design weaves history, myth, and legend into a layered narrative where every space tells a story. Working alongside local conservation specialists, the studio oversaw the restoration of frescoes and vaulted ceilings that reveal the building’s sacred past. In the restaurant, salt-pink marble recalls the nearby Wieliczka salt mines, while bespoke furnishings and an art collection curated by Francesca Gavin complete the composition. The result balances narrative richness, craftsmanship, and heritage conservation with modern hospitality — a hotel that feels timeless yet deeply connected to Kraków’s spirit.

Hedwig’s Club

Hedwig’s Club is a one-of-a-kind members’ club at the heart of Poland’s creative scene, set within a meticulously restored 15th-century chapel. ADC & Tuneu’s design preserves original frescoes and historic character while interrogating historic detail through a contemporary sensibility.

Inspired by Kraków’s distinctive rooftops, the interiors feature patinated shades of blue and green, while the main bar mirrors the rhythm of the chapel’s arches. In the adjacent transept, a wine bar sits beneath exposed brickwork, creating a dialogue between eras. Locally sourced furnishings and fabrics sit alongside contemporary works by leading Polish artists, forming a setting where history and modern culture coexist with quiet sophistication.
