Soho House Istanbul
Soho House Istanbul honours the timeless charm of its storied nineteenth-century setting within the historic Palazzo Corpi, built in 1873 in the heart of the Beyoğlu district. Originally commissioned by a Genoese shipbuilder and later occupied by the US Embassy, the palazzo retains many original features, including Carrara-marble floors, ornate fireplaces, and towering rosewood doors. The project saw the full refurbishment of the building into an 87-bedroom hotel and members’ club, complete with a traditional Turkish hammam, four restaurants, a large gym with boxing ring, screening room, and rooftop pool overlooking the city.
The design respects the building’s Neoclassical heritage while introducing layers of local craft and contemporary comfort. Hand-crafted tiles, kilim textiles, and rich brass accents sit alongside restored frescoes and tall, shuttered windows, creating a dialogue between Ottoman and European influences. One of Soho House’s most ambitious conversions, the result is refined yet relaxed, rooted in place and expressive in detail.
