The Shelborne by Proper

The Shelborne by Proper

Originally opened in 1940, The Shelborne is a celebrated Art Deco landmark that has welcomed guests from Frank Sinatra to The Beatles. Following a $100 million restoration, the 300-room hotel — together with its townhouses, restaurant, café, and cocktail bar — marks a new chapter under Proper Hospitality.

ADC & Tuneu have reimagined the hotel with quiet elegance and craftsmanship. Inspired by Miami’s coastal landscape and the optimism of the Art Deco era, the design brings together bespoke fabrics, pastel-toned marbles, warm natural woods, and lush planting to create a palette both refined and expressive. An exceptional art collection completes the story, celebrating the city’s cultural vibrancy and uniting mid-century spirit with contemporary ease; a timeless continuation of Miami’s enduring glamour.
